Having won the Cannabis Cup award in 1995, White Widow is easily one of the most popular strains in the world. This cannabis is so popular that it has graced every Dutch coffee shop since its introduction in the ‘90s. While the original lineage of this strain is still up for debate. Word has it that it was founded by Scott Blakey, aka Shantibaba (co-founder of Green House Seed Company). The strain is made up of a pure landrace sativa from Brazil and a South Indian hybrid.

The beautiful White Widow strain has a balanced composition of 60% Indica and 40% Sativa, making it a slightly indica-dominant hybrid. Thanks to this, you can experience both body-numbing effects and a “head high” by smoking White Widow.
